
Mabel Culpepper, a painter in water-media and oils, has lived in Albuquerque since 1988. After growing up in Missouri where she received a graduate degree in Art Education at Missouri University, she and her family lived in Germany, St. Louis, Tennessee, and Maryland. Her paintings reflect personal memories, especially of her own childhood, her children and grandchildren, and animals she has known. Mabel is a Signature Member of the National Watercolor Society as well as the New Mexico Watercolor Society. She has served as President of the NMWS and Yucca Branch of the National League of American Pen Women. For the past 11 years she's been listed in Who's Who in American Women, and Who's Who in America. Her paintings have been shown and won various awards in national shows and locally in Magnifico! Art of Albuquerque, NM State Fair Professional Show, Placitas Arts Series, Harwood Art Center, Pen Women shows, and NMWS and Signature Member shows.
